As of December 1st we will all be enrolled in our new plans. This has brought up the question of deductibles. If you have met your old plan's deductible this year but need to go to the doctor on December 1st the difference between the old and new deductible will need to be met, but any deductible amount paid in the 4th quarter of the year will be applied to the deductible requirement for 2011. So if you paid out $300 in deductibles during October, November or December that $300 would be applied to your deductible requirement for 2011. We really need more health care reform from the federal government!!!
